CB Cre Moore still solid to K-State
By Damon Sayles
Cre Moore (Broken Arrow, Okla./Broken Arrow) committed to Kansas State on Oct. 20, and he’s still 100-percent solid with the Wildcats. What he didn’t want over the weekend was anyone reading more into his visit to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Arkansas-LSU game than what it was.
Moore, a three-star cornerback, was in attendance to watch a competitive Arkansas team fall to LSU 20-13. Moore said he didn’t make the two-hour drive from Broken Arrow to Fayetteville to weigh options, simply to take in a game pitting SEC opponents.
“It was fun. I just went with my friends,” Moore said. “All my friends were going, so I thought I might as well go, too.”
Moore said he enjoyed the environment of two SEC teams going at in front of 71,000-plus fans. Moore, however, said the experience wasn’t enough to sway him, as he’s a solid commit to Kansas State. Moore said he plans on making a visit to Manhattan, Kan., this weekend for the Wildcats’ big home finale against Texas.
“I just like the defensive coordinator there,” Moore said, referring to Tom Hayes. “He has a lot of things to say that most coaches don’t. He’s just a good coach, and I think he can get me to the next level. I also like Coach [Bill] Snyder. He’s winning games and has the program on the rise.”
A 6-foot, 176-pound cornerback, Moore is ranked No. 61 among cornerbacks nationally and No. 10 among all players in Oklahoma in the 2013 class.
