David Manoa says yes to Hawaii

By RecruitingNation

Defensive end / outside linebacker prospect David Manoa (San Mateo, Calif./Aragon) is on board with the Warriors, according to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.

"He's a terrific pass rusher," Aragon coach Steve Sell said. "He's a real physical defensive end. He's a great football player. Hawaii is getting a high-character, high-energy player who loves the game. He plays hard. He's physical. He's tough."

According to the Star-Advertiser, Manoa has slipped under the recruiting radar.  He transferred from Hayward High School after his sophomore year and was forced to sit out half of last season due to the move.

His uncle, Tim Manoa, played running back at Penn State and in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns and Indianapolis Colts.

Manoa, a 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, is the sixth Class of 2013 verbal for Hawaii.
