Taft duo ends recruiting process
By Jared Shanker
Cincinnati Taft teammates Dwayne Stanford II and Adolphus Washington talked about playing together for another four years, but in the end, they decided it was time to go their separate ways.
During an announcement Tuesday at the school, Stanford stated he would be attending Oregon next fall. Washington, as expected, will go to Ohio State.
Stanford said he didn’t decide until Tuesday morning that he will be going to Oregon and was leaning toward Ohio State. Oregon was “fresh in my mind” Stanford said.
Washington, the nation's No. 10-rated defensive end, is currently the only ESPNU 150 prospect in Ohio State's 15-pledge class. Stanford, a four-star receiver, is the second highest-rated prospect from Oregon's 14 verbals.
