Golden Eagles land in-state lineman
Offensive guard James Davis (Jackson, Miss./Murrah) has committed to suit up for Southern Miss, multiple sources report.
Arkansas State and Louisiana Tech also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-3, 275-pound blocker. Both in-state BCS programs, Ole Miss and Mississippi State, showed interest.
Davis is the second pledge along the offensive line for Southern Miss, joining Scottsdale Community College tackle Aaron Reed.
