West Orange bookends sticking together Winston Chastang and Jock Petree, the starting defensive ends for West Orange High in Winter Garden, Fla., have committed to Navy, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
“I’ve always wanted to go the military after I got done with school, so it was a perfect opportunity,” Chastang said. Petree added, "When I was growing up, I wanted to be in the military but I didn't know what branch. As soon as I found out about Navy, I knew that was my new home."
Chastang was a combine standout this spring, measuring in at 6-foot-4, 227 pounds and registering an electronically-timed 4.77 40-yard dash, 4.34 20-yard shuttle, 27.1-inch vertical and 86.22 SPARQ.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound Petree ran a 5.47 40-yard dash, 4.65 20-yard shuttle and jumped 23.6 inches for a 54.18 SPARQ score.
The Midshipmen have three verbals for 2013. Another defensive end, Alex Brown (Lexington, N.C./White Knoll), pledged in November.
