Vols score ESPN 300 trigger-man
Four-star quarterback Riley Ferguson (Matthews, N.C./ Butler), ranked No. 199 in the ESPN 300, is set to play at the next level for Tennessee, multiple sources report.
Auburn, Clemson, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Notre Dame, South Florida and Virginia Tech also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-2, 190-pound pocket-passer. Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Miami-FL, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia showed interest.
Ferguson, now the highest-rated 2013 recruit for Tennessee, posted huge numbers as a junior completing 184 of 279 attempts (65.9 percent) for 3,345 yards and 48 touchdowns.
Additionally, 6-foot-3, 235-pound outside linebacker Zach Barnes (Loganville, Ga./Grayson) has committed to suit up for the Vols.
With these two additions, Tennessee now hold 11 pledges for 2013.
