Last week defensive back Austin Logan (Tallahassee, Fla./Florida) received an offer from South Florida -- his most recent offer.
The 6-foot, 177-pound junior has some strong ties to the Tampa-area program.
"I'm very close with B.J. Daniels and I've come there to see him play a few times," Logan said. "His father actually taught me how to play basketball."
Logan was in attendance for South Florida''s junior day and came away impressed by what he saw from head coach Skip Holtz.
"I was very happy with Coach Holtz's commitment to academics and having a team that's strong academically," Logan said. "He also believes that the things are in place for USF to be a championship program."
Logan was offered after talking with assistant coach Rick Smith.
"They talked to me about my willingness to play cornerback or safety," Logan said. "I told them I could do either and then they offered me."
The Bulls will be recruiting Logan as a safety.
Another recent offer for Logan is Northwestern, the Big Ten program joins Stanford, Purdue and Georgia State with offers.
"I'm very excited to hear from Northwestern and I'm looking forward to visiting the campus with my father during the offseason," Logan said. "We have family in the Chicago area so it's a win-win situation for us."
