Defensive end Jarvis Pruitt (Houston, Texas/Stratford) has decommitted from Texas State and accepted a scholarship offer from Southern Methodist, Scout.com reports.
His high school coach, Eliot Allen, hinted to the San Antonio Express two days ago that Pruitt had his eyes on the Mustangs:
"There are some things that are very intriguing for him about SMU. His best friend (SMU commit A.J. Justice) is going there."
SMU now has 21 commitments for the Class of 2012.
