Sleeper receiver picks the Hokies

High three-star wide receiver Josh Stanford (Lithonia, Ga./King), one of the most under-recruited seniors in the country, has committed to play for Virginia Tech, Kipp Adams of ESPN's DawgNation reports.

Stanford did not attract much recruiting attention before this fall. At the time of his commitment, Stanford had collected scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Louisiana-Monroe, Memphis, Howard, Richmond, Norfolk State, Presbyterian and Samford among others.

ESPNU believes that the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Stanford has "good upside for the BCS level of play."

The Hokies' Class of 2012 now has 28 recruits.
