Butler County Community College defensive lineman Roland Johnson has committed to continue his career at Minnesota after making an official visit to campus, Scout.com reports.
The 6-foot-1, 285-pound prospect was also offered by Colorado State, Indiana, Akron, Middle Tennessee, Toledo and Troy. He visited the Blue Raiders on December 9th and was scheduled to visit with the Rams on January 27th.
Johnson was originally evaluated as a two-star defensive end in 2010 out of Byrnes High School (Duncan, S.C.). He signed with Western Carolina that February.
With the addition of Johnson, the Gophers have 26 pledges including six from junior college players.
