Three-star running back Akeel Lynch (Athol Springs, N.Y./St. Francis) confirmed Tuesday he has de-committed from Boston College.
Lynch, who committed to the Eagles in the summer, said he committed early because he initially wasn’t sure how much interest he would have. As more teams have offered him, he said he has wanted to look around.
Lynch, 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, is going to visit Penn State this weekend. Lynch also said he hopes to visit Oklahoma next weekend.
Lynch was supposed to visit the Sooners last weekend but was snowed in and unable to make the trip. He said OU getting the commitment of three-star running back David Smith (Midlothian, Ill./Bremen) on Tuesday does not change anything regarding his interest in OU.
Lynch visited Iowa in December and said the Hawkeyes are also one of his finalists.
