Nine sign early with Red Raiders

According to a release from the school's official site, Texas Tech received nine letters of intent or financial aid agreements on Wednesday.

"This is a great group and we are glad they made the decision to become Red Raiders," coach Tommy Tuberville said. "All of these guys are going to be afforded the opportunity for immediate playing time and we look forward to getting them on the practice field in February."

Rice High School (Altair, Texas) offensive center Jared Kaster has signed a financial aid agreement, will graduate from high school early and enroll in January. ESPNU ranks Kaster as the nation's eight best center. Defensive back Thierry Nguema (Corona, Calif./Santiago), originally a 2011 prospect, has also signed a financial aid agreement.
