Freeze secures first signees at Ole Miss

New Ole Miss head football coach Hugh Freeze received national letters of intent from three junior college prospects Wednesday, according to a release on the university's official site.

"Obviously we filled some need areas particularly on the offensive line and secondary,” said Freeze. “In the short amount of time we had, the results were very, very good.”

6-foot-7, 290-pound City College of San Francisco (Calif.) offensive tackle Pierce Burton signed with the Rebels over offers from Florida, Kentucky, West Virginia and Texas Tech among others. He's originally from Sacramento, Calif.
