Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou defensive end Deforest Buckner has been on the verge of making his college choice for two weeks now but has decided to push his announcement date back to Jan. 3 for the Marines All-American game.
Buckner has had the same top three schools on his list since the summer -- Oregon, Cal and UCLA.
He visited Oregon earlier this month and then was expected to trip to Cal the following week but it was canceled. He also set up a visit with UCLA (Jan. 13) but said he will no longer be taking that visit, which doesn’t leave room for much suspense on who he’ll choose.
