NEWBURY PARK, Calif. -- Several players announced themselves to the 7-on-7 scene during last weekend's Gamebreaker Classic at Newbury Park (Calif.) High School, but few did so with the authority of 2015 wide receiver Jake Breeland (Mission Viejo, Calif./Trabuco Hills).

The 6-foot-5, 200-pound receiver was a matchup nightmare for defensive backs and made a number of impressive catches -- many of them jump balls in the back of the end zone. It was an impactful first look of the spring at Breeland, who caught 12 passes for 134 yards last season, as he played behind two senior receivers, including his older brother, Cole Breeland.

So far, Breeland has received interest from Colorado and Utah in the form of letters and camp invitations and will likely be busy this spring and summer with 7-on-7 events. But he's hopeful that this fall finds him even busier.
