The Commodores secured their third commitment Saturday with the addition of safety Emmanuel Smith (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Oakland). He was on campus to watch spring practice and called head coach James Franklin afterwards to give his pledge, according to the Louisville (Ky.) Courier-Journal.

Running back Dallas Rivers (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson) and safety Bryce Lewis (Lilburn, Ga./Parkview) also committed this weekend. The Commodores now have five total verbals for 2014.

Smith, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound junior, picked Vandy over scholarship offers from Louisville, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Oregon State and Tennessee. Other programs such at Duke, Illinois, Mississippi State, Stanford and Syracuse showed interest.
