Offensive tackle Robert Castaneda (Round Rock, Texas/Round Rock) has pledged to sign with Kansas State, Rivals.com reports.
The 6-foot-5, 304-pound junior also received an early scholarship offer from Texas Tech. Other programs such as Baylor were showing interest.
Castaneda is one of this offseason's standouts after posting the best lineman SPARQ score at the Houston Nike Combine. That day, he also registered an electronically-timed 5.38 40-yard dash, 4.78 20-yard shuttle, 25.2-inch vertical and 41-foot power throw.
Kansas State now has two players on board for 2014. Running back Dalvin Warmack (Blue Springs, Mo./Blue Springs) committed earlier this week.
