Wide receiver/tight end prospect Sammie Epps (Greenwood, Miss./Greenwood) committed Wednesday to sign with Ole Miss, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports.
“When we talked about it, he’s always been a fan of Ole Miss,” Greenwood coach Clinton Gatewood said. “I told him if Ole Miss likes you are you going to commit to them, and he said ‘I know I am.’ He’s always liked what they’ve been doing. He loved the atmosphere, loved the kids. He’s very familiar with the coaching staff.”
Last fall, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Epps caught 33 passes for 401 yards (12.2 average) and three touchdowns. A two-way contributor, Epps also registered 30 total tackles and four interceptions on defense.
