It was just a few days ago when BCS schools were still sleeping on 2014 athlete Justin Noye (Rochester, N.Y./East). And when his first BCS offer came last week, it was Noye who was the one sleeping.

Rutgers extended an offer to Noye a few days ago, joining Albany as the two schools to extend an early scholarship to the 6-foot-1, 191-pound quarterback/free safety. The Scarlet Knights are the first FBS and BCS program to offer.

“They called my high school coach and I was asleep at the time and my coach called to ask if I heard the good news, and I said ‘No,’ ” Noye said. “He said Rutgers offered and I was shocked. I didn’t know what to say.”
