Four-star athlete Marquion Lane (DeLand, Fla./Trinity Christian), the younger brother of Tennessee RB Marlin Lane, committed to play for West Virginia on national signing day, according to multiple sources.
Lane, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior, selected WVU over scholarship offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Florida State, Louisville, Purdue and South Florida among others.
ESPN describes him as, "a really impressive football player. He is tall and rangy with an athletic build. He should continue to fill out his lean frame at the next level and play at the 200-pound range while retaining excellent athleticism. He has a great blend of size and speed. He is a dual-threat QB who could remain under center in the right scheme, but we feel he is a WR for the next level -- and potentially a dangerous one."
