The Hilltoppers picked up a verbal Monday from three-star defensive tackle D'von Isaac (McDonough, Ga./Alpharetta), according to sources. Isaac was previously committed to UAB.
His other scholarship offers include Bowling Green, Fresno State, Marshall, Memphis and Troy. Auburn, Clemson, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Oregon and Tennessee also recruited the 6-foot-5, 289-pound senior.
ESPN describes him as, "a productive two way tackle, flashing good initial quickness. Shows developmental potential on both sides of the ball however his immediate skill level appears to favor the defensive tackle position ... plays with the toughness and motor we look for when evaluating defensive linemen."
This spring, Isaac showed off his athleticism at a Nike Combine posting a 5.43 40-yard dash, 4.87 20-yard shuttle, 22.8-inch vertical and 81.9 SPARQ.
