Cougars add massive OT Sorenson

2/5/2013

Three-star offensive tackle Riley Sorenson (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Catholic) is the latest 2013 pledge for Washington State, multiple sources report.

California, Colorado, San Diego State, SMU, UCLA and Washington also offered the 6-foot-5, 318-pound blocker. Arizona, Nebraska, Oregon, Stanford and Vanderbilt expressed interest during the process.

ESPN describes Sorenson as, "a developmental size prospect" who is a "good finisher" but "appears to need to time and perhaps a redshirt year to polish his skills."

He is the sixth Class of 2013 prospect from Santa Margarita Catholic to make an FBS commitment, joining ESPN 300 dual-threat quarterback Johnny Stanton (Nebraska), four-star center Dane Crane (Washington), three-star athlete Connor O'Brien (Washington), three-star receiver and future teammate River Cracraft (Washington State) and three-star defensive end Nick Begg (Arizona State).

The Cougars' 2013 class now includes 27 pledges, including re-signs and midyear additions.
