Rising ILB talks Baylor commitment

Inside linebacker Taylor Young (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) had been a force all season, but it was the Texas Class 5A Division I state-quarterfinal game against Southlake (Texas) Carroll where people who didn’t already know him begin to ask questions.

The slightly undersized middle linebacker delivered not one but two big shots on Carroll quarterback and Texas A&M commit Kenny Hill -- shots that knocked Hill off his feet in a 1-on-1 situation. With Hill’s size (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) and strength, that hasn't been an easy task for most defenders, but the 5-10, 225-pound Young made it look routine.
