Baylor gains productive linebacker

Taylor Young (DeSoto, Texas/DeSoto) has parlayed a huge senior season into a Big-12 commitment after announcing for Baylor on Monday, according to the Dallas Morning News.

Young, a 5-foot-10, 225-pound inside linebacker, officially visited the Bears on Jan. 25th. He also made an official trip to Louisiana-Monroe on Jan. 18th and held scholarship offers from Colorado State and Rice.

This fall, he was named APSE 5A Defensive Player of the Year after recording 122 tackles, 3 sacks, 4 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries.

Including mid-year additions, the Bears have 24 players secured for 2013.
