Syracuse has lured three-star corner Chauncey Scissum (Henrietta, N.Y./Rush) from his Old Dominion verbal, multiple sources report.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Scissum originally chose the Monarchs in July. Bowling Green, Buffalo, UMass and Towson were his other offers, while UConn, Maryland, North Carolina and Rutger showed interest.
ESPN calls Scissum, "a physical presence in the defensive backfield while demonstrating the ball skills needed to produce at the next level ... provides a spark to either side of the ball ... has upside with his physicality and toughness on the field."
Syracuse's 2013 class, in flux of late, now includes 18 verbals.
