When Mitch Kimble (Jerseyville, Ill./Jersey Community) decommitted from Northern Illinois and officially visited NC State, the general belief was he would follow former Huskies coach Dave Doeren to Raleigh.
While the coaching transition would have been an easy one for the 6-foot-2, 190-pound dual-threat quarterback, Kimble said Syracuse was the better place for him. He committed to the Orange over the Wolfpack on Monday.
“Getting on campus and getting the feel for everything, getting to know the coaches and hanging out with the players, I felt it was the perfect fit for me,” Kimble said.
