New head coach Steve Addazio and Boston College lured dual-threat quarterback James Walsh (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) away from Ohio, multiple sources report.
Walsh, a three-star prospect who originally picked the Bobcats in June, also received scholarship offers from Akron, Bowling Green, Central Michigan and Toledo. Cincinnati showed interest.
ESPN writes in its scouting evaluation: "Walsh is a very productive dual-threat quarterback who primarily moves the ball with his arm but is a very capable runner, showing the quickness and playing speed to rip off big chunks of yardage when executing the zone read play or forced to scramble out of the pocket."
