Louisville pulls four-star from Ole Miss

Four-star athlete Charles Williams (Hialeah, Fla./Champagnat Catholic) flipped his pledge Tuesday from the Ole Miss Rebels to the Louisville Cardinals, multiple sources report.

His high school coach, Michael Tunsil (@ChampagnatLions) tweeted, "Champagnat Catholic ATH Chucky Williams decommits from Ole Miss and commits to Louisville after officially visiting Louisville last week."

The 6-foot-2, 176-pound senior originally picked the Rebels in July. He was recruited by Ole Miss co-defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach Wesley McGriff. Louisville associate head coach/defensive line coach Clint Hurtt led the Cardinals' pursuit of Williams.

Nebraska also received an official visit from the four-star senior. Arkansas, Boston College, Bowling Green, Clemson, Florida International, Illinois, Indiana, UMass, Purdue, South Carolina, South Florida, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Western Kentucky were his other offers.

ESPN projects Williams, a high school quarterback, to play receiver or safety at the next level.

Louisville has 14 players committed or already signed for 2013.
