Amarillo (Texas) Palo Duro teammates and best friends Montrel Meander and Charleston White have committed to the Cougars, according to multiple sources. Both players traveled to Washington State over the weekend for an official visit.
Meander, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound safety, also took officials to Texas-San Antonio (Nov. 9), San Diego State (Dec. 1) and Colorado State (Dec. 8). His other offers include Colorado, Houston, Navy, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas State, Texas Tech and Tulsa.
“I want to be a part of a turnaround and wouldn’t mind at all playing for Coach [Mike] Leach,” Meander told the Amarillo Globe-News.
