Multiple sources are reporting that three-star offensive tackle Jake Boynton (Marietta, Ga./Walton) and Kentucky have parted ways. He originally picked the Wildcats in June.
Ball State, Florida Atlantic, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Middle Tennessee, South Alabama, USF, Syracuse and UCF also have extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-6, 270-pound senior.
ESPN likes Boynton's upside, but feels it could take some time, "Boynton possesses the athleticism and frame needed for the tackle position but is a developmental prospect who will need to add size and bulk ... Will need a red-shirt year."
Nineteen players are still committed to Kentucky for 2013.
