Cornerback D.J. Dean (Newton, Texas/Newton) was wondering if the recruiting process could get any better after a very positive visit at North Texas over the weekend. Then the SEC knocked on his door.
On Sunday, Dean was praising North Texas after he made the 5-hour drive to Denton, Texas, for an official visit. On Monday, the three-star defensive back picked up an offer from Arkansas during an in-home visit.
It was an offer he considered one of his biggest. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound cornerback now has 13 total, but Monday was his first SEC offer.
