Offensive guard Elijah Tupai (Salt Lake City/Cottonwood) has elected to continue his career with the Warriors, according to multiple reports.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pound three-star selected Hawaii over scholarship offers from Utah and Utah State. Brigham Young was among the other programs to show interest.
ESPN mentions Tupai's physicality a number of times in his scouting report, "this prospect comes off the ball low and hard, flashing the explosive pop and surge necessary to knock defenders off the ball when single blocking... His initial quickness, blocking base and persistent leg drive allows him to establish and sustain an immediate advantage... This guy is a tough customer who finishes with a consistent effort."
Hawaii's Class of 2013 now sits at 22.
