K-State visit to take on twist for Williams

When three-star inside linebacker Isaiah Williams (Dallas/Skyline) heard about former Kansas State wide receivers coach Michael Smith leaving for the same position at Arkansas, it wasn’t what he wanted to hear -- particularly as he was preparing for an official visit to Manhattan, Kan.
And especially, since he didn’t get the news firsthand.
“He didn’t tell me. I found out through someone else that he was leaving,” Williams said. “That kind of hurt. At least I’m close to [linebackers] Coach [Mike] Cox, so it’s not all that bad.”
