Former Cyclones pledge flips to Houston

Three-star cornerback Jalen Barnes (Port Arthur, Texas/Memorial) changed his commitment from Iowa State to Houston following an official visit with the Cougars, according to multiple reports. He originally picked the Cyclones in October.
Kansas, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State, North Texas, Oklahoma State, San Jose State, Tulsa and Utah also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot, 185-pound senior.
ESPN calls Barnes, "a good looking corner that may be falling under the radar with the size, play-speed and ball skills he brings to the table... a well-rounded, savvy corner who can make plays out of different schemes and alignments."
