6-foot-1, 340-pound defensive tackle Jeremiah Taleni (Kailua, Hawaii/Kailua) has committed to play for head coach Paul Chryst and the Panthers, according to multiple reports.
Massachusetts, Nevada and Washington State also extended scholarship offers to the massive interior defender, who will be evaluated soon by ESPN. Utah and Utah State were among the other programs showing interest.
Taleni proved that he can move for a big man this offseason on the Nike Combine circuit when he posted an electronically-timed 5.68 40-yard dash, 5.12 20-yard shuttle, 19.9-inch vertical and 75.84 SPARQ.
