With just three weeks until signing day, West Virginia is looking to close out its class at offensive tackle, and the Mountaineers are looking at a committed one.
Three-star Chagrin Falls (Ohio) tackle Grant Lingafelter, committed to Miami (Ohio) since October, picked up an offer from the Mountaineers on Tuesday. He will make a visit -- his second -- to Morgantown the weekend of Jan. 25.
"I'll look into WVU," he said. "I'm visiting next weekend so I'll know more after that I would assume."
The 6-foot-5, 268-pound Lingafelter was being recruited by West Virginia during the spring and summer, and he visited back in the spring.
The Mountaineers have just one tackle committed in their class, which is why they are after Lingafelter, the No. 117 offensive tackle nationally.
Asked if he will remain committed to Miami at least until his West Virginia official visit, Lingafelter said, "Yes for sure."
