Three-star athlete Deontay McManus (Baltimore/Atlanta Sports Academy) and cornerback Lakeith Murray (Ventura, Calif./Ventura College) have given verbal commitments to the Thundering Herd, multiple sources report.
McManus originally signed with West Virginia in 2012 out of Dunbar High School in Baltimore but failed to qualify. ESPN calls him, "a very intriguing athlete to evaluate because at times he can look very good with his ideal blend of size, strength and athleticism, but he also has some limitations athletically."
Murray picked Marshall over scholarship offers from New Mexico State, Southeastern Louisiana and Wyoming. Other programs including Boise State, Florida Atlantic, Fresno State, Louisiana-Lafayette and New Mexico showed interest.
The Thundering Herd now has 14 players on board for 2013.
