Butler Community College (El Dorado, Kan.) wide receiver Javess Blue, ranked No. 12 in the ESPN JC 100, committed Sunday to play for new head coach Mark Stoops and the Wildcats, multiple sources report.

The 6-foot-1, 194-pound Babson Park, Fla. native was in Lexington, Ky. this weekend for an official visit. He also made trips to Mississippi State (Nov. 16th) and Texas Tech (Dec. 7th). Arizona State, West Virginia, Louisiana Tech and Southern Miss were his other offers while Auburn and Florida State showed interest.

Following junior college film evaluation, ESPN called Blue, "an explosive playmaker as an outside threat and punt return specialist... has the skill set to be an immediate contributor and possible impact guy in the right situation."

Kentucky currently holds 18 verbals following the addition of Blue. He's the Wildcats' second highest-rated recruit behind another juco talent, four-star defensive end Za'Darius Smith (Greenville, Ala./East Mississippi CC), who signed in December.
