Navarro College (Corsicana, Texas) running back Tyler Middleton has become the first pledge of the Kliff Kingsbury era at Texas Tech, multiple sources report.
Middleton, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound Midland, Texas native, also received scholarship offers from Louisiana Tech and Middle Tennessee during this recruiting cycle.
He was originally graded as a two-star prep prospect in 2011. At that time, ESPN described him as, "a good productive back, capable of gaining big yardage as a runner and receiver... Although presently flying under the radar as a major level prospect his athletic run and catch production make him a player worth keeping an eye on."
The Red Raiders' class has 12 commitments.
