Senior Marcus Ward (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills) has committed to sign with new head coach Bobby Petrino and Western Kentucky, multiple sources report.
Naturally, Ward and his parents had some reservations about playing for Petrino following his ugly departure from Arkansas. But after speaking with Petrino, the family was convinced.
"Really good guy," Ward told AL.com. "He had a great personality. He seemed big on family and that good stuff. That swayed me and my parents. My parents loved the talk. My mom and dad are all on board with me with this."
