Senior Jake Schlager (McCook, Neb./McCook), who was born in Denver, has committed to return home and play for Colorado State, the Reporter Herald reports.
"It just had the right fit," he said. "The way that I was able to mesh in with CSU and the way it felt for me, it was just right. I just feel like I can make some big plays. Where ever they need me, I'll be able to fill in at."
Schlager, a 6-foot, 195-pound safety, was an all-state selection this fall after registering 166 tackles and causing four turnovers.
