At 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, 2014 athlete Kendrick Igbinoba (Richardson, Texas/Richardson) has the size and speed to play multiple positions. After playing quarterback as a sophomore in 2011, Igbinoba was one of the running backs in Richardson’s run-heavy offense this season.
The big question, as Igbinoba prepares for the off-season, involves where he will line up for the 2013 season. He was one of five players to rush at least 40 times for more than 300 yards as a junior, and he helped Richardson advanced to the Texas Class 5A Division I playoffs.
Because Richardson had to deal with early disciplinary and academic issues with players, Igbinoba was asked to play more of a leader. He now will look to improving as a player, a leader and a potential FBS recruit. Igbinoba has received correspondence from Ole Miss, Washington State, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, SMU and Arizona.
