Artis-Payne makes it official with Auburn

Four-star running back Cameron Artis Payne (Harrisburg, Pa./Allan Hancock College) signed with the Tigers Wednesday, according to a release issued by Auburn's official site. He is No. 34 in the ESPN JC 100 and the No. 2-rated JC running back.
The 5-foot-11, 215-pound Harriburg, Pa. native graduated from Milford Academy (New Berlin, N.Y.) in 2008.
He paced all California Community College Athletic Association running backs this fall with 2,048 rushing yards and 25 touchdowns. As a freshman, he accounted for 1,364 yards and 18 scores on the ground.
Artis-Payne is Auburn's only mid-year addition at this time. The Tigers have 12 total players on board for 2013.
