Copiah-Lincoln Community College (Wesson, Miss.) signal-caller Chandler Rogers, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect, jumped on board today with Arkansas State, according to multiple sources.
Some outlets are reporting that Rogers has already signed. The school has not released any midyear signing information at this time.
Rogers was considered a two-star prospect in 2011 coming out of Brookhaven (Miss.) Academy. ESPN said of him, "He is a shotgun, spread offense player in a Texas Tech-like scheme where he dinks and dunks, throws on the move with designed roll outs and also throws intermediate timing routes. ... However, as efficient and productive as he has been, his overall throwing mechanics and lack of arm strength are probably why he has not seen more recruiting attention to this point."
The Red Wolves also have three-star quarterback Damion Hobbs (Cedar Hill, Texas/Cedar Hill) committed for 2013.
