Last week, Oregon State landed four-star cornerback Steven Nelson (Warner Robins, Ga./College of Sequoias), a former Georgia commit, who became their top-rated verbal.
Tuesday, four-star defensive tackle Kyle Peko (La Habra, Calif./Cerritos College) jumped on board with the Beavers, according to multiple sources. He was in Corvallis, Ore. over the weekend on an official visit and now sits behind only Nelson on the OSU commit list.
Peko, a 6-foot-2, 295-pound prospect, also received scholarship offers from Baylor, Boise State, Brigham Young, Charlotte, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State (Sept. 21st official visit), Nebraska (Nov. 16th official visit), Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Utah (Nov. 30th official visit) and Washington State (Dec. 7th official visit).
ESPN said of him following junior college film evaluation, "Peko grows on you the more you watch him. He is a good player in the trenches who could come in and be a plug-and-play guy if needed."
The Beavers now have 14 commitments.
