ESPN 150 wide receiver Eldridge Massington (Mesquite, Texas/West Mesquite), who was once committed to USC, is ready to make another commitment, this time for good. On Saturday, he will announce his decision between Alabama and UCLA.
The Texas native talked about his two finalists.
“I like the way Alabama does things, the way they work,” Massington said. “All of them really have the same mindset.
“At UCLA, I like my position coach, Coach [Eric] Yarber, and the way he coaches. I feel like he’s a great coach. All of the coaching staff, they’re all real good coaches, and I feel comfortable around them. I feel like they’re a growing program.”
Both schools are prepared to take his commitment and bring him in as an early enrollee. After tearing his ACL over the summer, Massington wants to enroll early so he can finish his rehab in a college program.
At this point, he’s still undecided between the two schools.
“I’m going to pick the one I feel like my gut is telling me to go,” Massington said. “I’m still working out the pros and cons.”
