According to multiple recruiting outlets, three-star wide receiver James Cox (Tuscaloosa, Ala./Northridge) recommitted to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
He originally picked Southern Miss in July but the Golden Eagles suffered through an 0-12 season, fired Ellis Johnson and Cox decommitted. Todd Monken, who spent the last two years leading Oklahoma State's high-powered offense, is Southern Miss' new head coach.
Arizona State, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Indiana, Mississippi State, Purdue, Central Florida and Vanderbilt offered the 6-foot, 185-pound Cox earlier in the process.
