Four-star wide receiver Angelo Jean-Louis (Wellington, Fla./Fork Union) committed to Marshall following an official visit over the weekend, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Jean-Louis originally signed with Miami (Fla.) in February 2012 as an Under Armour All-American and ESPN 150 prospect out of Palm Beach Central High School (Wellington, Fla.). However, he failed to qualify and headed to Fork Union.
Jean-Louis remained committed to the Hurricanes during his time at Fork Union, but, according to the Post, admissions flagged his test scores and Miami dropped him.
“I would have to wait too long for them to investigate [his scores],” Jean-Louis said. “Marshall’s been here for me since Day 1. We decided it was a good place for me, so I pulled the trigger.”
Coming out of Palm Beach Central, ESPN said of Jean-Louis: "He has the skill set to become a BCS level standout and a player who can stretch the field. He's a very impressive prospect."
He is now Marshall's top-rated recruit for 2013.
