Three-star quarterback Nick Montana of Mt. San Antonio College (Walnut, Calif.), the son of NFL Hall of Fame QB Joe Montana, committed Monday to sign with Tulane, according to multiple reports.
Nick Montana, who is 6-foot-3 and 215 pounds, spent the weekend in New Orleans on an official visit. Akron and Western Kentucky also offered during this recruiting cycle while programs such as Auburn and Louisiana Tech showed interest.
ESPN wrote in his junior college evaluation, "Montana has bulked up. He is still lanky, but stronger. He has been well coached and groomed on footwork, pocket setup and balance, and the importance of timing and anticipation... would be best in a pro-style scheme with timing routes to short and intermediate ranges."
