The trend at Cal has been big receivers as of late and now new head coach Sonny Dykes seems to like that mold as well with the addition of Dannon Cavil (San Antonio/Madison). Cavil bolts from the Ole Miss class to join the Bears in what will obviously be a pass happy scheme.
Cavil’s size is his biggest asset so much so that he could likely outgrow the WR position and morph into an H-Back/flex tight end and really cause match-up problems from the slot. Cavil is capable of big plays and even explosive plays given his size, which is why he is talented enough to be remain on the outside at least initially when he enters college.
